GEO Tool Pricing: Otterly, Minddex and Profound Compared

Otterly, Minddex and Profound represent three different pricing models. Otterly publishes self-serve prices: $29 a month for 15 prompts, $189 for 100, and about $489 for 400, with extra engines as paid add-ons. Minddex, a Paris-based GEO platform covering ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, offers a free audit but publishes no price list, so you get a quote. Profound sells brands a custom Enterprise contract after a free trial, and sells agencies a self-serve plan at $99 a month plus $399 per client. Comparing them fairly means converting each offer into what you actually need: prompts, engines, markets, frequency and help.

Otterly: what do the published prices really cost?

Otterly's list prices are the lowest of the three, but engine add-ons change the total. According to an independent review, Google AI Mode and Gemini add $9, $59 or $149 a month depending on the plan, and Claude adds $29, $109 or $439. So:

  • Lite with Claude: $29 + $29 = $58 a month for 15 prompts on five engines.
  • Standard with Claude: $189 + $109 = $298 a month for 100 prompts.
  • Standard with Claude, AI Mode and Gemini: $298 + $59 = $357 a month, if AI Mode and Gemini are billed together as the review lists them.

Annual billing is about 15% cheaper. Extra prompts cost $99 per 100. A seven-day trial needs no card. The full picture is in the OtterlyAI review.

Minddex: why is there no price list?

Minddex presents itself as a French GEO platform, built in Paris and hosted in France, used by advertisers, publishers and agencies. It covers six engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, AI Overviews and AI Mode, in any country and language. It says it analyses more than 10 million sources a week and more than 5,000 brands, and publishes sector research on which brands AI engines recommend.

Its site offers a free audit across the six engines, in your chosen language, rather than a price list. That usually signals pricing tailored to scope: the number of brands, markets, languages and prompts, and how much analysis and advice is included. Hosting in France may matter to European buyers with data residency preferences. Ask for a written quote on your exact configuration, and compare it with published prices elsewhere.

Profound: what do you pay?

Profound removed its self-serve brand plans in September 2026. Brands now try a seven-day trial, with 50 recommended prompts run daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews, and then negotiate an Enterprise contract. Agencies can self-serve on Agency Growth, at $99 a month plus $399 per client workspace, including 400 agent credits a month per workspace. The detail is in Profound pricing.

What does the same need cost on each?

Take three typical needs:

Need Otterly Minddex Profound
Small brand: 15 questions, 4 engines, daily $29/mo Quote Trial only; Enterprise quote
Mid-size brand: 100 questions, 5 engines incl. Claude, daily About $298/mo Quote Enterprise quote
Agency: 5 clients, 50 questions each, 4 engines Standard plus two 100-prompt packs: $189 + $198 = about $387/mo for 300 prompts, with unlimited workspaces Quote $99 + 5 × $399 = $2,094/mo for 3 engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews), with agents; a fourth engine needs Agency Enterprise (quote)

The self-serve tool is cheapest wherever it fits. The agency row shows why: Otterly's Standard plan includes unlimited workspaces, so extra clients cost only prompts, while Profound charges per client workspace, each covering 100 prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews. Quote-based and enterprise options earn their price only through what you get beyond tracking: advice, research, agents, support and data handling.

How do you compare quotes fairly?

When one vendor publishes prices and another quotes, convert everything to the same basis:

  1. Fix your requirements in writing: questions, engines, markets and languages, frequency, number of brands or clients, and users.
  2. Ask each vendor for answers per month included, so you can work out price per answer.
  3. List what is included beyond tracking, such as audits, recommendations, strategist time, agents and content.
  4. Ask how answers are collected, from consumer apps or APIs, and how many runs per prompt.
  5. Check contract terms: length, notice period, price changes on renewal, and data export on exit.
  6. Price the extras you would buy separately, such as a consultant or writer, to compare with bundled services.

How to evaluate tools more broadly is covered in how to evaluate GEO tools before choosing one. Whether the prices are justified at all is discussed in whether GEO tools are overpriced prompt trackers or useful visibility tools.

Which should you choose?

  • Otterly if your needs fit its published plans and you want to start this week at low cost.
  • Minddex if you are a European brand or agency that wants six-engine coverage in several languages, sector research and French hosting, and prefers a tailored package.
  • Profound if you are an enterprise needing broad coverage and execution help, or an agency that wants agents per client.

What might a buyer's comparison look like?

Consider an illustrative French homeware retailer selling in France, Belgium and Spain. It needed 60 questions in three languages on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI features. Otterly covered it on Standard, with the Gemini and AI Mode add-on, at a published price. Minddex's free audit showed the retailer's share of voice by engine in French and Spanish, and its quote included sector benchmarks and monthly recommendations. Profound's trial showed richer data, but its Enterprise quote was well above budget. The retailer ran Otterly for three months to build a baseline, then chose between Otterly and Minddex on whether the extra advice was worth the difference.

What do people ask about GEO tool pricing?

Why do some GEO tools hide prices?

Quote-based pricing usually reflects tailored scope and services, or a sales-led model. Ask for a written quote on your exact needs.

Is Otterly's $29 plan enough?

For 15 questions on four engines, yes. Most brands outgrow it quickly.

Does Minddex offer a free trial?

It offers a free audit across six engines. Ask about trial terms when requesting a quote.

Can small brands buy Profound?

Only through its free trial or an Enterprise contract.

Are annual discounts worth taking?

Only after a few months of real use. Otterly's annual billing saves about 15%, but locking in before you know your prompt count and engines risks paying for the wrong plan. For quote-based and enterprise tools, negotiate a short first term or a pilot, then commit.
