Adobe LLM Optimizer Review for Enterprise AI Visibility and Governance
Adobe LLM Optimizer has evolved into Adobe Brand Visibility, announced in June 2026. It combines Adobe's agent-traffic analytics and CDN-level optimisation with Semrush's database of nearly 300 million AI prompts. It shows how AI agents reach your site, broken down by platform, agent and URL. It can also serve AI-friendly changes to AI user agents only, at the CDN edge, such as pre-rendered pages, summaries and FAQs. That is powerful, and it raises governance questions, because AI systems may see content your visitors do not. Adobe does not publish pricing; it is sold as enterprise software. It suits large organisations, especially Adobe Experience Manager customers, that can put strong content governance around it.
What does Adobe Brand Visibility do?
According to Adobe's announcement and documentation, it brings together:
- Visibility insights from Semrush data: how often a brand is mentioned across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. It adds audience reach, meaning how many times people saw an AI response containing the brand, plus competitive share of voice.
- Prompt strategy: topics and prompts gaining traction, drawn from nearly 300 million real-world AI search prompts, and which brands win them.
- SEO context: Semrush's keyword and backlink corpus, to show where existing search authority should be earning AI citations.
- Agentic traffic analytics: how AI agents and crawlers access your site, and how reliably.
- Opportunities and Optimize at Edge: detected issues, suggested fixes, and deployment of fixes at the CDN layer.
Adobe's documentation notes that LLM Optimizer has evolved into Brand Visibility, combining Adobe's optimisation capabilities with Semrush's market intelligence in one workflow.
Adobe Brand Visibility review: finding issues by platform, agent, and URL
The agentic traffic view is its most distinctive measurement. Built from CDN data, it shows AI traffic to your site split three ways:
- By platform, such as OpenAI, Perplexity or Anthropic, to see which assistants read your content.
- By agent type, split into crawlers and chatbots, with the individual user agents listed per page type and URL, so you can tell a training crawler such as GPTBot from a search crawler such as OAI-SearchBot yourself.
- By URL, to find pages AI agents request often, pages they never reach, and pages that return errors or slow responses.
That makes it easy to spot problems such as a product section that AI agents cannot fetch, or a key page returning errors to one platform's agent. It connects directly to the opportunities list, which flags pages where content is hidden from agents or hard to interpret.
What does Optimize at Edge change?
Adobe describes Optimize at Edge as serving AI-friendly changes to LLM user agents at the CDN layer, without changes in your content management system. It says it targets only agentic traffic and does not affect human users or search engine bots. It works with major CDNs, including Adobe-managed Fastly for AEM Cloud Service, and bring-your-own-CDN setups on Fastly, Akamai, Cloudflare, CloudFront and Azure Front Door. Supported opportunities include:
| Opportunity | What it does for AI agents |
|---|---|
| Recover content visibility | Serves a fully rendered HTML snapshot, recovering content hidden behind JavaScript |
| Add LLM-friendly summaries | Inserts AI-generated summaries and key points grounded in existing content |
| Add relevant FAQs | Injects AI-generated FAQ content aligned to your prompt set |
| Simplify complex content | Rewrites complex sections into simpler text, preserving meaning |
| Add table of contents | Injects anchor-linked section headings |
| Add multimedia transcript summaries | Inserts text summaries of video and other media |
Adobe also offers a free AI Content Visibility Checker browser extension that shows how much of a page's content AI systems can access.
What governance questions does it raise?
Recovering content hidden behind JavaScript is low risk. It shows agents the same content people see, in a form they can read. The content-changing opportunities are different. Summaries, FAQs and simplified rewrites served only to AI agents mean assistants may read, and quote, text that no visitor sees on your site. Before switching them on, answer these questions:
- Accuracy and approval. Who reviews AI-generated summaries, FAQs and rewrites before they are served? In regulated industries, the text may count as a public claim about your products.
- Consistency. Does the agent version say anything the human page does not? If an assistant quotes a claim customers cannot find on your site, trust suffers, and in some sectors it creates compliance risk.
- Search engine policies. Adobe says search engine bots are excluded. Keep it that way. Serving different content to Googlebot than to users breaches Google's cloaking rules. Serving different content to AI agents is a newer grey area, discussed in whether serving different content to AI crawlers is considered cloaking.
- Audit trail. Can you show what was served to agents, when, and who approved it?
- Exit. What happens to edge-served content if you stop the service?
A safer pattern is to use the edge for rendering fixes and structure, and to publish content improvements, such as summaries and FAQs, on the page itself, where both people and agents see them.
Adobe LLM Optimizer pricing: why is the cost not listed?
Adobe sells Brand Visibility through enterprise licences, as a standalone application or alongside Adobe Experience Manager; existing AEM Cloud and Adobe Analytics customers get a limited free trial first. Pricing depends on scale, including sites, traffic, markets and modules, and on the rest of your Adobe agreement. That is why no list price appears. A missing price is not proof of a very high cost, but it does signal an enterprise sales process. Expect scoping calls, a custom quote and a longer procurement cycle than with self-serve trackers. If you already run AEM Cloud or Adobe Analytics, start with the included trial limits before asking for a quote.
To judge a quote, estimate what the equivalent would cost from separate tools. That means an AI visibility tracker, log-based bot analytics, and the engineering time to fix rendering and structure yourself. Then compare the total with Adobe's price, including integration savings if you run AEM.
Who is it for?
- Good fit: large enterprises on Adobe Experience Manager or Adobe's CDN, with many sites and markets, strong content governance, and a need to fix AI readability without long engineering queues.
- Reasonable fit: enterprises on other CMSs with a supported CDN, that mainly need agent-traffic analytics and rendering recovery.
- Poor fit: small and mid-sized businesses, and organisations without a review process for AI-generated content.
Other enterprise options are covered in the BrightEdge review and the Jasper GEO agent review. Whether optimising for Google carries over to other assistants is discussed in whether optimising for Google AI Overviews helps visibility in other AI engines.
What might an enterprise rollout look like?
Consider an illustrative global retailer on Adobe Experience Manager. Agentic traffic data showed that OpenAI's and Perplexity's agents rarely reached product detail pages in two markets, because product information loaded through client-side scripts. The retailer enabled content visibility recovery at the edge for those templates, and saw agent requests to product pages rise within weeks. It declined edge-only FAQs. Instead, its content team reviewed Adobe's suggested FAQs and published approved versions on the product pages themselves, visible to shoppers and agents alike. Legal signed off the process once, and every later change went through the same review.
What do people ask about Adobe LLM Optimizer?
Is LLM Optimizer still available?
It has evolved into Adobe Brand Visibility, which combines it with Semrush's AI optimisation data.
Does it only work with Adobe Experience Manager?
No. Adobe describes Optimize at Edge as CDN- and CMS-agnostic, with setup guides for several CDNs.
Does Optimize at Edge affect Google rankings?
Adobe says it does not serve changes to search engine bots or human visitors. Confirm the bot rules in your configuration.
Is there a free option?
Adobe offers a free AI Content Visibility Checker browser extension. AEM Cloud and Adobe Analytics or Customer Journey Analytics customers can also activate a free trial version of Brand Visibility, with up to 100 prompts, one domain and optimisations on up to 50 URLs; use beyond those limits needs a separate licence, quoted by your Adobe account team.
