Aiclicks.io Review: Tracking AI Brand Mentions and Citations
AIclicks is a prompt-tracking tool. It records whether your brand is mentioned, and which sources are cited, in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and other assistants. It also adds AI agents that analyse the data, draft content and help with outreach. Plans run from $59 a month for 30 prompts on three AI platforms to $499 a month for 300 prompts on six, and the Starter and Pro plans include a three-day trial. From the Pro plan up, a GA4 integration sorts AI referral sessions and conversions by assistant. It suits agencies and small teams that want daily tracking and source lists at a moderate price. Treat its content and outreach agents as drafting help, not autopilot, and plan the short trial carefully so it answers your questions.
What does AIclicks track?
- Prompt tracking: answers to the prompts you add, checked daily on the AI platforms your plan includes, with a visibility score and position.
- Mentions and competitors: which brands each answer names, and how you rank against competitors across the prompt set.
- Citation sources: the sites and pages assistants cite, so you can see which sources drive answers in your category.
- Sentiment: how answers describe your brand.
- AI traffic: through GA4, sessions, users and key events from AI assistants.
- Clicky: an assistant inside the tool that answers questions about your tracked data in plain English. AIclicks' documentation says it reads the same data as the dashboard. It does not estimate or guess, and it says so when it cannot reach something.
- Content and outreach agents: tools that draft articles from your visibility gaps and help you approach the third-party sources that assistants cite.
ChatGPT and Gemini are the default platforms. Depending on the plan, you can add others from a list that includes Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude and further assistants. Enterprise plans cover all supported models.
How much does AIclicks cost?
As listed on AIclicks' pricing page, with yearly billing up to 29% cheaper:
| Plan | Price | Prompts | AI platforms | LLM responses a month | Articles a month | Integrations |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $59/mo | 30 | 3 | 4,650 | 5 | CMS |
| Pro | $189/mo | 150 | 4 | 18,600 | 15 | GA4, API, MCP, CMS |
| Business | $499/mo | 300 | 6 | 55,800 | 30 | GA4, API, MCP, CMS |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | All | Custom | 30+ | Custom |
Starter allows one website and one country per project. Pro and Business allow unlimited websites and countries. Prompts can be split across projects, so a Pro plan could run three brands with 50 prompts each. Monthly plans have no lock-in contract. AIclicks says pricing depends on prompts, AI engines and answer volume.
The Pro and Business response allowances equal one check per prompt, per platform, per day. For Pro, 150 prompts × 4 platforms × 31 days is 18,600. So expect one daily sample per prompt on each platform, not several runs. Per prompt, Starter works out at about $1.97 a month, Pro about $1.26 and Business about $1.66, the last with more platforms per prompt.
AIClicks review: tracking clicks and conversions from AI search
The GA4 integration is the part that links visibility to business results. According to AIclicks' documentation, it connects to your GA4 property with a read-only scope and never changes your data. It reads session and event data, and maps GA4's session source and referrer patterns into buckets for assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Copilot. The result is an AI Traffic dashboard with sessions, users and key events by assistant, beside your prompt tracking.
That is useful, with the same limits as any referrer-based method:
- It sees only visits that carry an AI referrer or tag. App traffic and copied links often arrive without one, so AI traffic is undercounted.
- It cannot connect a specific prompt to a specific visit. No assistant shares the question behind a click.
- Conversions depend on your GA4 setup. If key events are not configured, there is nothing to attribute.
- Influence without a click is invisible, such as a buyer who reads an answer and later searches your name.
You can build the same referral view in GA4 yourself, as covered in how to track ChatGPT and other AI referrals in GA4. The value here is having it next to visibility data, so you can see whether pages cited more often also receive more AI visits. The GA4 integration is not in the Starter plan.
How good are the source and competitor insights?
Source lists are the most actionable part of any tracker. They show which review sites, publishers and discussion threads assistants rely on for your prompts, and where competitors are mentioned and you are not. AIclicks turns these into suggested actions, such as updating a directory listing, pitching a publisher or creating a comparison page. The suggestions are a starting point. Check each one against the actual cited page before acting, because a source cited once in a single answer is not worth a campaign.
Should you use the content and outreach agents?
Use them to save drafting time, not to publish or send automatically.
- Content drafts should be edited by someone who knows the subject, with facts checked and something added that other pages lack. Publishing large volumes of lightly edited AI text risks breaching Google's policy on scaled content abuse, and rarely earns citations.
- Outreach should be personal and accurate. If you offer payment or free products for a mention, disclosure rules such as the FTC's Endorsement Guides apply to the resulting content.
How does it compare with other trackers?
AIclicks sits in the middle of the market on price. Per prompt it is cheaper than Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit, though not than every suite add-on: SE Ranking's AI Search add-on costs $89 a month for 200 prompts on top of an SE Ranking plan. It has more built-in action tools than basic trackers. Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit, for example, starts at $99 a month for 25 prompts, as covered in the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit review. Similar tools with different emphases are covered in the Otterly.AI review and the Peec AI review.
How do you test it in three days?
A three-day trial is short, so prepare before starting:
- Write 30 prompts in advance, taken from real customer questions, with a mix of discovery, comparison and brand prompts.
- Choose the platforms your customers use, since Starter allows three.
- Add three to five competitors.
- On day one, run five of the prompts yourself in each platform and save the answers.
- On day two or three, compare the tool's recorded mentions and sources with your own runs.
- Review the source list and decide whether its suggested actions are specific enough to act on.
- If you will use Pro, connect GA4 during a Pro trial and check that the AI traffic figures match your own GA4 reports.
If the brands and sources match your manual runs broadly, the tracking is sound. Then the decision comes down to whether the source insights and agents save you enough time.
Who is it for?
- Good fit: agencies tracking several clients, since prompts split across projects, and small teams wanting daily tracking with source analysis.
- Reasonable fit: in-house marketers who want GA4 AI traffic beside visibility, on the Pro plan or above.
- Poor fit: anyone who needs many runs per prompt per day for statistical confidence, or who wants a fully automated content engine.
What do people ask about AIclicks?
Does AIclicks offer a free plan?
Its pricing page lists a three-day trial for Starter and Pro, and a demo for Business. Check the current terms, since offers change.
Can I track more than one brand?
Yes. Each project has its own prompts, score and competitors, drawn from your plan's prompt allowance.
Does it track Google AI Overviews?
Yes, as an optional platform on the Starter, Pro and Business plans.
Is the visibility score comparable with other tools?
No. Each tool calculates its score differently, so compare mention rates and sources, not scores.
