Conductor vs seoClarity for Reporting Which Pages AI Engines Cite
Conductor has the more direct reporting on cited pages. It shows trended counts of your cited pages and a ranked list of the pages AI answers cite most, yours and competitors'. It keeps a cited or not-cited history for every prompt, and up to 10 page groups let each team report on the pages it owns, across nine engines. seoClarity's ArcAI goes further on why a page is or is not cited. It joins citation data with page-level technical and content issues, AI bot activity, rankings and analytics, and pushes prioritised fixes to Jira. Both are enterprise platforms priced by quote. Choose Conductor if the report is the product, and seoClarity if diagnosing and fixing pages is the priority.

What does Conductor's cited-pages reporting show?
Conductor's AI Search Performance report is built around citations. The overview charts your brand mentions, your website citations, your cited pages and your sentiment score over time, and breaks each down by engine, including the number of cited pages per engine. The Competitors tab lists the top cited pages in responses to your tracked prompts, yours and competitors', ranked by citations in the selected period. Clicking a page's prompt count shows which prompts cited it and the responses themselves.
For each tracked prompt, Conductor records whether your site was cited when citations appeared, so you can see a prompt flip from Cited to Not Cited and read the answer that replaced you. A topic matrix shows the most-cited competitor sites for your largest topics. Its monitoring product keeps a change log for each page for up to 60 months, which helps when a cited page drops out and you need to know what changed on it. More on Conductor's AI features is in the Conductor review.
Why do page groups matter?
Because the people who own pages rarely map neatly onto a site's folders. A product marketing team may own pages spread across /solutions/, /features/ and /blog/. Conductor's Page Groups filter limits the citation report to the pages in up to 10 groups, so each team sees only prompts that cite its pages. Mentions and other non-citation views still reflect all tracked prompts. That turns one market-level dashboard into ten team-level reports without separate projects, and it makes citation performance something a named owner can be held to.
What does seoClarity add about why pages are cited?
seoClarity's ArcAI Insights sets out to explain the result, not just report it. It correlates visibility data with your site's content and technical performance, and generates a prioritised list of specific optimisation steps at question, page and domain level. It also says whether a gap needs an on-site content change or external outreach, since some citations depend on third-party pages rather than your own. Tasks can be assigned inside the platform or through Jira, to developers and writers who may not know AI search.
The surrounding data is the other advantage. seoClarity's Technical SEO package includes unlimited-crawl site audits and log file analysis, ArcAI reports AI bot activity by page, and site analytics imports GA, GA4 or Adobe Analytics. A page that lost citations can be examined in one place for crawl errors, missing bot visits, ranking loss and traffic change. More is in the seoClarity review.
What does seoClarity's research say about cited pages?
It is a useful warning against assuming cited pages are ranking pages. seoClarity analysed the top 1,000 URLs ChatGPT cited in the US over one week in November 2025. They came from 186 domains, with more than half the URLs from Wikipedia, and nine of the top ten domains were education, news or media sites. A quarter of the 1,000 URLs had no organic visibility in Google's top 100, and among the three most-cited URLs, half had none. A cited-pages report should therefore be read alongside rankings, not in place of them. Pages can win citations without ranking, and ranking pages can go uncited. Why AI engines often prefer some page types is covered in why AI search engines cite comparison pages instead of product pages.
What should a cited-pages report contain?
Whichever platform you use, a monthly report for page owners should show:
- Cited pages count and trend, for the whole site and each page group.
- Top cited pages, yours and competitors', with the prompts that cite each.
- Pages that lost citations, with the prompts they dropped out of and the page that replaced them.
- Pages expected but not cited: your pages that target a tracked prompt but never appear.
- Technical checks for the pages in points 3 and 4: crawl status, AI bot visits, recent changes.
- Engine differences, since a page cited by Perplexity may be ignored by ChatGPT.
How to find cited pages for a specific set of questions without an enterprise tool is set out in how to find which pages AI answer engines cite for your target questions.
What do they cost?
- Conductor: usage-based plans. AI Search credits start on Growth, at 2,500 a year, with more on Enterprise; the unit a credit buys is not defined on the pricing page. Its monitoring product offers a three-week free trial.
- seoClarity: Research & Content from $2,500 a month, Technical SEO from $3,200 and Enterprise from $4,500; ArcAI is quoted separately.
Where does each fall short?
- Conductor: recommendations are in alpha; credit units are not published; page groups are capped at 10.
- seoClarity: the layout of its page-level citation reports is described only in general terms on its public pages, so ask to see it in a demo; ArcAI pricing is not published.
- Both: citation counts depend on the prompts you track, so a page that answers questions you do not track will look uncited.
We have not used either platform's AI reporting ourselves; this comparison is based on Conductor's documentation and seoClarity's product pages and published research.
What might this look like in practice?
Consider an illustrative HR software company, Staffwell, with separate teams for payroll, benefits and compliance content. On Conductor, it set up three page groups and sent each team a monthly cited-pages report. The compliance team saw its cited pages fall from 14 to 9 in a month; the prompt drill-down showed a government guide now cited in their place. A sister company on seoClarity faced a similar drop. ArcAI Insights traced it to a template change that had moved key answers into a collapsed accordion, and log data showed AI bot visits to those pages falling at the same time. The fix went to developers as a Jira ticket.
What do people ask about Conductor and seoClarity for cited pages?
Can Conductor show which of my pages AI cites?
Yes. It charts your cited pages over time and lists the most-cited pages, yours and competitors', with the prompts and responses behind them.
Can seoClarity explain why a page is not cited?
ArcAI Insights correlates citation data with page-level technical and content issues and recommends specific fixes.
Can I report citations by team?
Conductor's page groups let you limit citation reports to up to 10 groups of pages, such as those owned by one team.
Do cited pages also rank in Google?
Often not. seoClarity found a quarter of ChatGPT's 1,000 most-cited US URLs in one week had no Google top-100 visibility.
