How Do Profound, Semrush, Ahrefs, seoClarity, and Conductor Compare for Enterprise GEO?

They start from different places. Profound is a dedicated AI visibility platform with daily tracking and built-in fact-checking. Semrush and Ahrefs are SEO suites with large prompt databases. They are strongest for research and for teams already using them. seoClarity and Conductor are enterprise SEO platforms that tie AI visibility to technical health, content work and analytics, and each covers nine AI engines. None is best for everyone. The right choice depends on three things: the stack you already use, whether you need to act on findings inside the tool or only measure, and how many markets you cover. Shortlist two, then run the same prompts in both for a month before signing an annual contract.

Profound: when AI visibility is the programme

Profound runs every tracked prompt daily across the consumer versions of up to nine engines, classifies every cited source, flags inaccurate claims with FactCheck, reads server logs for AI agent visits and offers content agents. Since September 2026 it sells to brands only on Enterprise contracts. Choose it when AI visibility is a dedicated programme with its own budget and owner, and you want the most detailed view of answers and sources. It adds less for classic SEO, so most buyers keep an SEO suite alongside. More is in the Profound review.

Semrush: when you already run on Semrush or Adobe

Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit is cheap and quick to add for teams already using Semrush, and its Enterprise AIO product adds market, city and product tracking, query fan-out, persona prompts, log analysis and analytics connections. After Adobe's acquisition, Adobe also sells Brand Visibility, which combines Semrush data with Adobe's agent traffic analytics and edge delivery. Choose Semrush when your teams already live in it or in Adobe's stack. More is in the Semrush Enterprise AIO review.

Ahrefs: when research and discovery come first

Brand Radar searches a very large set of AI answers built from prompts modelled on real search keywords, which makes it strong for discovering where competitors appear and which pages AI cites across a category, without writing a prompt list first. Custom prompts add tracking for your own questions. Choose it for competitive research and category-wide analysis, especially if your team already uses Ahrefs. More is in Profound vs Ahrefs.

seoClarity: when accuracy and outcomes matter

seoClarity's ArcAI covers nine engines, detects hallucinations and traces them to sources, reports AI traffic and conversions, imports GA4 and Adobe Analytics, and exposes data through an MCP server and API. It publishes starting prices, from $2,500 a month. Choose it for regulated or accuracy-sensitive categories, and when leadership wants AI visibility tied to revenue. More is in the seoClarity review.

Conductor: when many teams share the work

Conductor tracks nine engines in more than 160 countries, with personas, intents and page groups that let each team see citations for the pages it owns. Recommendations send weak topics to its Writing Assistant, 24/7 monitoring catches technical problems, and AgentStack adds agents and an MCP server. Choose it for large organisations where content, SEO and regional teams need one shared system. More is in the Conductor review.

How should an enterprise choose?

Answer five questions, in order:

  1. What do you already use? Adding AI tracking to an existing SEO platform is cheaper and faster to adopt than a new vendor.
  2. Do you need to act inside the tool? If content, technical fixes and agents matter, favour seoClarity, Conductor or Profound. If measurement is enough, the suites may do.
  3. Which engines and markets matter? Check each vendor's list against where your buyers ask, in each country.
  4. How important is accuracy? In regulated sectors, automatic accuracy checks (Profound, seoClarity) save the most time.
  5. What will you report? Choose tools whose metrics you can explain, and keep definitions fixed over time.

How should you run a bake-off?

Shortlist two tools and run them side by side for four weeks:

  • Use the same 50 prompts, half branded and half unbranded, in the same engines and markets.
  • Compare answers for a sample of prompts by hand, to see which tool matches what buyers see.
  • Compare citations and check which tool finds the sources that matter in your category.
  • Test one action in each, such as a content brief or accuracy fix, and judge the output.
  • Price the real configuration, including prompts, engines, markets, seats and add-ons.

Keep prompt definitions and metrics the same in both, or the comparison will reflect method rather than quality. Metric differences between tools are explained in SE Ranking vs Profound.

What might this look like in practice?

Consider an illustrative global insurer, Ulvfen Mutual, with separate teams in five countries. It shortlisted seoClarity, for accuracy checks in a regulated category, and Conductor, for page groups by country team. In a four-week bake-off on 60 prompts, both found the same main cited sources, but seoClarity flagged three inaccurate premium claims that Conductor's sentiment view did not. Ulvfen chose seoClarity for accuracy and analytics, and kept its existing Semrush licence for keyword research.

We have not tested these platforms side by side ourselves; this comparison is based on their published pages and documentation.

What do people ask about enterprise GEO platforms?

Which platform tracks the most AI engines?

Profound (on Enterprise), seoClarity and Conductor each list nine. Ahrefs lists seven across its AI indexes, all of them on the $699 all-platforms plan, though new Grok collection is currently paused; Claude is available through custom prompts.

Which is cheapest to start?

Ahrefs, whose custom prompt tracking starts at $50 a month for 80 prompts on one platform and can be bought without an Ahrefs plan; then Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit at $99. Brand Radar's AI indexes start at $199 per platform, and the enterprise platforms are priced by quote.

Which checks AI answers for accuracy?

Profound's FactCheck and seoClarity's ArcAI flag inaccurate claims; Semrush's Perception and Narrative Drivers reports help you find them by reading.

Do I need both an SEO suite and an AI visibility platform?

Many enterprises keep both. The SEO suites add AI tracking cheaply; dedicated platforms go deeper.
