Peec vs Determ vs SE Visible for Tracking LLM Mentions
Peec AI and SE Visible track what AI assistants say about your brand. Determ tracks what news sites, blogs and social platforms say, in real time. Its newer AI Visibility product also tracks AI answers, linking them to the media coverage behind them. Between the two AI trackers, SE Visible offers more for the money. It tracks 200 prompts on five engines, ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews, for three brands, from $99 a month. Peec offers stronger source gap analysis and ranked actions, from $95 a month for 50 prompts on three models. Many teams pair an AI tracker with a media monitoring tool, because coverage today shapes answers tomorrow.

Peec AI: strongest at explaining gaps
Peec's value is in diagnosis. Its gap analysis lists the sources that name competitors but not you, down to the URL. It classifies sources as competitor, editorial, reference or user-generated content, and ranks actions as earned or owned. Its metrics are clearly defined: visibility, share of voice, sentiment from 0 to 100, and average position. The limits are three active models per self-serve plan, with others as paid upgrades, and a higher price per answer than SE Visible. The full picture is in the Peec AI review.
SE Visible: strongest on volume for the money
SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility product. Its Basic plan costs $99 a month, or $79.20 a month billed annually, which is $950.40 a year. It includes 3 brands, 3 projects, 200 prompts and 30,000 AI responses a month across five engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. That allowance equals 200 prompts × 5 engines × 30 days, so each prompt is checked daily on every engine. At about a third of a cent per response, it is among the cheapest per answer. SE Ranking also sells an AI Visibility API with an MCP server, and offers a 14-day trial. The SEO-suite version, with AI tracking inside SE Ranking itself, is covered in SE Ranking's AI visibility tracker features and pricing.
Determ: tracking the sources, not the answers
Determ is a media intelligence platform for PR and communications teams. It monitors online media and social conversations in real time. Its AI analyses sentiment across languages and sources to flag shifts in tone, and results can be filtered by location. Its plans cover growing teams (Plus), agencies needing white-label reports (Premium) and multi-brand organisations (Multibrand), with pricing set after a walkthrough.
It has since added Determ AI Visibility, which tracks AI responses that mention your brand and compares your visibility with competitors; its strength is linking those answers to the media coverage behind them. Its role in AI visibility is upstream. Many AI answers are built from the articles, reviews and discussions that media monitoring captures. A new comparison article, a critical review or a thread about your product often shows up in AI answers later. Catching it early lets you correct errors, respond, or amplify good coverage before it hardens into how assistants describe you.
How do you combine them?
A practical set-up for a brand that cares about reputation:
- Track answers with Peec or SE Visible: 50 to 200 prompts, daily, on the engines your buyers use.
- Track sources with Determ, or another media monitoring tool, for your brand, products, executives and competitors.
- Connect the two monthly. For each prompt you lose, check whether the cited sources appeared in your media monitoring, and what you did about them.
- Act on coverage quickly: correct factual errors with publishers, respond to reviews, and pitch updates to articles that assistants cite.
Tools that show the actual AI answers and their sources are compared in the Mentionlytics review. How social listening tools approach AI chat is covered in Brand24 vs Mention.
Are these tools only "surface-level"?
Mention counts on their own are surface-level. Depth comes from four things, and it is worth checking each tool for them:
- The full answer text, so you can read how you are described.
- Cited sources at URL level, so you know what to work on.
- Enough runs to separate trends from noise.
- Competitor context: who wins each prompt, and why.
Peec and SE Visible both provide answer text and sources. Peec goes further on ranked actions, while SE Visible gives more prompts and engines per dollar. Determ adds depth of a different kind, the story behind the sources.
What might a combined set-up catch?
Consider an illustrative consumer electronics brand using SE Visible for 150 prompts and Determ for media monitoring. In March, Determ flagged a widely shared review criticising the battery life of its new headphones. The complaint was fixed by a firmware update two weeks later. By April, SE Visible showed assistants repeating the battery complaint in answers to "best noise-cancelling headphones under $300", and citing the review. Because Determ had caught the article early, the brand had already sent the publisher details of the update. The publisher added an update note in April. Over the following weeks, answers began to mention the fix, and the brand's position in those answers recovered.
Without media monitoring, the brand would have seen the problem only after it reached AI answers. Without an AI tracker, it would not have known the review had become a cited source.
What does the same job cost?
Take 100 prompts, tracked daily on three or more engines:
- SE Visible Basic: $99 a month covers 200 prompts on five engines.
- Peec Pro: $245 a month covers 150 prompts on three models.
- Determ: add media monitoring at its quoted price if you need source tracking too.
On tracking volume alone, SE Visible is the clear value choice. Peec earns its premium if you use its gap analysis and ranked actions to decide what to do each month.
Which should you choose?
- SE Visible for broad, affordable daily tracking across five engines and a few brands.
- Peec for clearer diagnosis and prioritised actions.
- Determ, alongside either, if media coverage and social conversation drive how your brand is described, as in consumer brands, regulated industries and companies in the news.
