SE Visible Review: Affordable ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity Tracking
SE Visible is SE Ranking's standalone AI visibility tracker. Its Basic plan, at $99 a month or $79.20 billed annually, tracks 200 prompts daily across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews for three brands. That is about 30,000 answers a month. SE Visible says it collects real answers through a browser rather than an API, and it records mentions, sentiment, position and cited sources. At about a third of a cent per answer, it is among the cheapest trackers available. The trade-offs are no Claude yet, few optimisation features and coverage limited to seven countries and five languages. It suits small agencies and brands that want broad daily tracking at low cost.
What does SE Visible cost?
SE Visible's plans, as listed on its site and in pricing reviews:
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Brands and projects | Prompts | Answers a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $99 | $79.20/mo ($950.40 a year) | 3 and 3 | 200 | About 30,000 |
| Core | $189 | $151.20/mo ($1,814.40 a year) | 5 and 5 | 450 | About 67,500 |
| Plus | $355 | $284/mo ($3,408 a year) | 10 and 10 | 1,000 | About 150,000 |
SE Visible's own FAQ explains the count. The prompt limit is the number of prompts you add, not the number of checks. A plan with 200 prompts tracked on five engines checks all 200 on all five every day, about 30,000 checks a month. Reviewers also report unlimited users on the entry plan, which is rare at this price. A free trial is available.
Per answer, Basic works out at about 0.33 cents, Core at about 0.28 cents and Plus at about 0.24 cents. For comparison, a tracker selling 50 prompts on three models daily for $95 costs about 2.1 cents per answer.
What does it track?
According to SE Visible's site and FAQ:
- Engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. SE Visible says Claude will be added soon.
- Collection: real AI responses gathered through a browser and graphical interface, not simulated answers or API results.
- Refresh: daily, across all tracked prompts and engines.
- Metrics: Visibility Score, share of voice, average position, brand mentions and sentiment.
- Sources: the domains and URLs cited by AI engines, and which sources favour competitors over you.
- Context: snapshots of how your brand appears in answers, with the context and sentiment of each mention.
- Prompts: your own prompts, organised into topics, plus localised topic and prompt suggestions in your audience's language.
Why does browser collection matter?
Assistants can answer differently in their consumer apps than through their developer APIs. The app may search the web, use different models or format answers differently. A tracker that queries the API can report visibility that real users never see. SE Visible's claim that it collects answers through the browser interface is a point in its favour, since that is closer to what buyers see. It is still worth testing: run a few prompts yourself, and compare your answers with SE Visible's snapshots over several days.
Has the refresh rate changed?
A review published in April 2026 by a competing vendor said SE Visible refreshed data only every seven days. SE Visible's FAQ now says results refresh daily across all prompts and platforms, and its plan maths assumes daily checks. If refresh frequency matters to you, confirm it during the trial by watching whether results change day to day.
What are the limits?
- No Claude yet, and no Copilot, Grok, Meta AI or DeepSeek. If your buyers use those, you need another tool.
- Markets and languages: SE Visible lists seven countries (the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain) and five languages (English, French, German, Dutch and Spanish). If you sell elsewhere, you need another tool for those markets.
- Optimisation features: SE Visible focuses on tracking and analysis. Its site lists advanced analytics, reporting and flexible brand settings as coming soon. Its public pages do not describe content agents or page audits of the kind some rivals include.
- API sold separately: the SE Ranking AI Visibility API, with an MCP server, is a separate product. SE Visible's data can also go to Looker Studio.
SE Visible or SE Ranking's AI Search toolkit?
SE Ranking sells AI tracking in two ways. Inside its SEO platform, the AI Search toolkit sits beside rank tracking, audits and backlinks, and suits teams that want SEO and AI data together. SE Visible is the standalone product for teams that only need AI visibility, or that want its brand-level analysis and pricing. The plans are compared in SE Ranking's AI visibility tracker features and monthly pricing, and the SEO side in SE Ranking vs Semrush for combining SERP and AI search insights.
Is it cheaper than building your own tracker?
Some teams consider writing a script that sends prompts to the engines and logs the answers. It can work for a handful of prompts, but at SE Visible's volume it gets harder:
- Google has no official API that returns AI Overviews or AI Mode answers, so a script needs a paid SERP data provider or browser automation.
- Developer APIs differ from apps, so API answers for ChatGPT or Gemini may not match what buyers see.
- Parsing takes work: detecting brand mentions, positions and sentiment reliably across 30,000 answers needs code and review.
- Maintenance: interfaces and APIs change, and scripts break.
For most teams, $99 a month is less than the time a custom runner would take to maintain. A DIY route is covered in the DataForSEO LLM Mentions API review.
How should you read its scores?
Visibility and share of voice from any tracker are only comparable within the same tool, engines and prompt set. When you report SE Visible numbers:
- Report by engine, not only in aggregate, because ChatGPT and AI Overviews often behave very differently.
- Keep the prompt set stable, or mark changes clearly, since adding prompts shifts every average.
- Read the answers behind big moves, especially sentiment changes, before telling anyone.
Combining scores across engines is covered in how to normalise visibility scores across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude.
Who is it for?
- Good fit: small agencies tracking up to three, five or ten clients, and brands that want daily tracking on the main engines for the lowest cost per answer.
- Reasonable fit: SE Ranking users who want brand-level AI analysis without changing platforms.
- Poor fit: teams that need Claude or Copilot, many markets, or built-in content and technical recommendations.
Alternatives with different strengths are covered in the Gauge review and the Wix AI visibility tracking review.
What might an agency set-up look like?
Consider an illustrative three-person agency, Ulvoway Digital, with three retainer clients. On SE Visible Basic, it gave each client about 65 prompts, split into topics for category, comparison and brand questions. Every morning, the agency checked which prompts had changed overnight on any engine. Each month, it sent clients a one-page summary: visibility by engine, the three prompts that moved most, and the sources cited for competitors. When a fourth client signed, the agency moved to Core, and used the extra prompts to add a second market for its largest client after confirming that market was supported.
