Authoritas for Agencies: AI Visibility Platform Review

Authoritas's AI Search platform suits agencies that sell research as well as tracking. It builds hundreds of questions from a map of topics, buyer personas and the factors customers weigh when buying. It runs them across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. Answers can then be sliced by persona, market, language and sentiment. Pricing is by credits shared across client sites, from $119 a month for 2,000 credits. An agency partner programme co-funds half the credits for co-branded research reports. The catches: credits go quickly at weekly frequency, and search-grounded versions of some models sit on enterprise plans. It suits agencies building AI search services around insight, less those needing cheap daily tracking.

How does Authoritas build prompts?

Instead of asking you for a prompt list, Authoritas asks you to describe the market. You set out topics, buyer personas and key factors, such as price, quality, comfort or sustainability, in a mind map. The platform then generates hundreds of targeted questions from those combinations, including branded, unbranded and intent-based questions across industries, countries and languages. It can also generate negatively framed questions for reputation risk analysis.

For agencies, this is the main attraction. A single setup produces a structured study of how AI answers questions in a client's category, which can be filtered in ways clients understand: for example, all negative answers about pricing from budget-conscious buyers at the consideration stage. How agencies organise tracking across many clients is covered in how agencies track AI visibility across multiple clients and locations.

What does it report?

  • Full answer text for each question and model.
  • Mentions, co-mentions and share of voice against competitors.
  • Tone and sentiment, including by factor, such as positive on quality but negative on price.
  • Sources, the sites and pages models cited, for search-enabled models.
  • Filters by product category, persona, language, region and custom tags.

Runs can be one-off or scheduled daily, weekly or monthly, and the platform shows a credit estimate before each run.

How does pricing work?

Authoritas prices its SEO platform, AI Search platform and API separately, each with its own credits. For AI Search, as described in a hands-on review in 2026:

Plan Price a month Credits
Free $0 50
P1 $119 2,000
P2 $299 6,000
P3 $489 15,000
Enterprise 1 $1,459 42,000, with BigQuery and Looker Studio
Enterprise 2 $2,289 75,000
Enterprise 3 $3,115 125,000

The formula is sites × questions × runs × model cost. Standard models cost one credit per question, and search-grounded models two, on enterprise plans only. So 300 questions on two standard models for one client, run monthly, use 600 credits and fit P1. The same set run weekly uses about 2,580 credits and needs P2. Five clients with 100 questions each on two models weekly need about 4,300 credits. Overage on P1 costs $66 per thousand credits. Because credits are pooled across sites, one plan can serve several clients.

Search-enabled models: why they matter

Some models in Authoritas can search the web and show their sources; others answer from what they learned in training. The Sources tab only fills for search-enabled models. According to the same review, the search-grounded versions of models cost two credits and are limited to enterprise plans. Google's AI Overviews always draw on search, and Perplexity does by default, but for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, check which version your plan runs. Answers without live search reflect a model's training data, not what users of the apps see today. Authoritas's own research programme highlights comparing answers collected through the apps with those from the models' APIs, which shows the difference matters.

What does the agency partner programme offer?

Authoritas invites agencies to co-produce research. It funds 50% of the prompt credits for agency-led reports, such as industry benchmarks, white papers or persona journey studies, and promotes the results jointly. Partners get early access to new tools. For agencies, this is a low-cost way to publish original data on AI search in their sector, which doubles as marketing and as the kind of first-hand information AI answers like to cite.

How does it differ from tracker-first tools?

Most AI visibility tools are built for tracking: a fixed list of prompts, run often, with trend charts. Authoritas is built more for studies: a large, structured set of questions, run less often, analysed from many angles. For agencies, the two support different services. Tracking suits monthly retainers that report movement. Studies suit audits, pitches and strategy work that explain a category. Many agencies will want both: Authoritas for quarterly studies, and a cheaper daily tracker such as those compared in the best AI visibility tool for agencies for the handful of prompts each client watches closely.

Where does it fall short?

  • Weekly and daily tracking get expensive on credits.
  • Search-grounded models on enterprise plans only, as above.
  • Interface, which one reviewer found slow to scan.
  • Traditional SEO tools are weaker than the AI platform, according to the same review, and are billed separately.
  • White-label reporting and client portals are not described on its public pages; ask before committing.

We have not tested Authoritas ourselves; this review is based on its published pages and an independent hands-on review.

Who is it for?

  • Good fit: agencies selling AI search audits, research and strategy, especially across personas and markets.
  • Reasonable fit: in-house teams wanting structured category research several times a year.
  • Poor fit: agencies needing cheap daily tracking of many prompts for many clients, and teams wanting one tool for SEO and AI.

How should an agency use it?

  1. Build one mind map per client category, with three to five personas and five key factors.
  2. Run a baseline study monthly on two or three models, to control credits.
  3. Use filters for client stories, such as how AI describes the client's pricing to different buyers.
  4. Track a smaller core set weekly for the prompts that matter most.
  5. Publish one sector study a year through the partner programme.

What might this look like in practice?

Consider an illustrative travel marketing agency, Oxlholt Digital, with six hotel group clients. It built a mind map for boutique city breaks, with personas for couples, business travellers and families, and factors such as location, price and breakfast. A monthly study of 250 questions on two models for each of its six clients used about 3,000 credits, within P2's 6,000. The persona filter showed AI recommending one client to business travellers but rarely to families, which led to a family-stay page and pitches to family travel blogs. Oxlholt also co-published a sector report through the partner programme.
